Promise to post pictures soon!!

I'm terrible about posting pictures...my job keeps me so busy as does my lovely 3 year old. But, I got some great ones at Christmas time and can't wait to share them.

As we spend one more day in 2008 I'd like to take a moment and reflect on all the things I'm thankful for that happened in 2008.

1. My FABULOUS new job..actually my first ever REAL career. Thank you Lord for this great opportunity
2. The patience and helpfulness of my wonderful boyfriend and parents with Olivia when I had to work late
3. My 26th birthday.
4. Olivia's achievement of being potty trained..(I'm pretty sure that happened this year)
5. My best friend getting to spend one more Christmas with her father (he has brain cancer)
6. Michael getting into school again
7. All the new friends I have made..especilly Angela in Tallahassee...she is definately my rock when it comes to my job
8. My closer relationship with God...it grows constantly
9. NOT being injured in my wreck
10. My sister moving a little closer

There is so much more to be thankful for but these just popped to mind. I'm sure that you are thankful for alot too!

Here's to a New Year and many many blessings in 2009!!!

Another Christmas come and gone...

Christmas was soooo wonderful this year! Much more relaxing and fun than I can EVER remember! I had a whole week off (thanks to my wonderful company that MAKES me take that week off) and Livy was a blast this year. She is so into Santa Clause now and it is so much fun watching her face light up on Christmas morning!

On Christmas Eve, about 40 members of my famly got together as always, at my Granny's house. Santa Clause even came to visit the 10 kids (all under the age of 7). It was a blast! The presents were slimmer this year, but the food sure wasn't! It as such a great time.

Now, I have 2 more days of work for the year and it's on to 2009!

Just call me PROCRASTINATOR!!!

I am sooo sooo bad at updating this blog thing! Not that too many people look at it anyway. I'll look at my blog and say..oh I'll update it tomorrow. But, I have so much I want to blog about!

Anyways, life has been crazy as always! Can you believe Christmas is right around the corner??? Me either. So, without going into detail of what's been going on, I'll just show you with pictures!

Pictures from the weekend

Amazingly enough, I did not get but one picture of Olivia this weekend! She wasn't being very cooperative so instead...I got something just as good. Pictures of Ethan! Ethan is Michael's very handsome son. I suppose he is my future stepson. That's what I've been lead to believe anyway :) One day folks...one day I will get that proposal. I just keep my fingers crossed! Anyways...Ethan plays baseball and is very good at it, so there's some pictures of that....and a few others thrown in. He is so handsome just like his daddy!!! I'm one lucky gal :)

Getting ready to bat here
Paying attention (somewhat) to the coaches

There are some pictures of my funny and beautiful sister Kelly as well. We had gone to eat pizza in between Ethan's games. How great is it that she went to the games with us and he's not even in the family yet!

Loving every bite :)

Isn't he soooo handsome!!!
Sunday, we had my mom's little birthday party after church. We're having her real one next weekend but I couldn't let her have an actual birthday without cake! So, I went and got a cake and we had dinner. It was an enjoyable day.

His new Sunday outfit...with the shirt untucked of course! :)

Can we say exhausted???

I have been tired in my lifetime but this week takes the cake! You would think when sales are up I would be more exhausted during the week..but it's the exact opposite. I am more exhausted when I am fighting for sales because I have to work twice as hard to get what I can! I think I got 5 hours of sleep every night this week. Which is NOT enough for me to function.

Well, Saturday is usually my day to relax but not today. Ethan had two baseball games and then we had to go shopping for Sunday clothes for him. He grew so much this summer!! Livy and Ethan don't get to hang out very often so when we do get together and actually go somewhere and do something...they are WILD. They love each other and get so rowdy when they spend extended periods of time together.

Anyway, I will be recovering tomorrow hopefully, in between Church and cleaning my house!!! I will post pictures of today later. I am too tired right now!!

Hello to Fall!!!

I love me some fall...love the weather, love the clothes, love the smells...LOVE the football! I love it all! Things have been pretty crazy around here. Not much excitement. I am eagerly awaiting the end of the election so I don't have to hear the words "earmarks", "liberal", and "drive-bys". (Yes, I listen to ALOT of talk radio). I am particularly ready for the election to be over and the economy to pick up so my customers will FINALLY start buying something from me. Everyone is so scared to spend a penny even if their money situation is fine. It's like a domino effect. If they see someone struggling, they get scared because they KNOW that they will be struggling too. So, Come on Economy!!! Get to moving...I need some buyers and some money!

Here are some pictures from the beginning of fall! Enjoy!!

She loves the park!! It was a special treat for being good all week!

She is just now learning to pose and smile for the camera..thank goodness cause look at that beautiful smile!

Michael says she looks mad but I say she looks like a model....what do you think?

I love this one...she really is head over heels for him. Justified.

Love this one too...her hair doesn't always look this good!

Summer days

Yes, summer is here! It is hot outside. Michael has finally got the pool pretty much up. Still waiting for the new pump to come in that his mom bought on e-bay but we did get to get in the water today. Well, just Livy and me. I tried to teach her how to kick her legs and swim with her arms, but I'm not a very good teacher. So, I think it would be best to put her in swim lessons for the summer to get her ready to be a great swimmer.

My birthday is Wednesday but I have to endure two pain staking days of riding with my manager (whom I love) before my birthday arrives. I really like my manager, but it's just really stressful to have her ride with me every 4 weeks. I'm so used to being on my own in the field and I get my own little groove going and then I have to throw in an extra person. Oh well..it's part of the job.

I AM one big frayed edge

This being my first post (and only one depending on how many thoughts I actually want to make public), I should probably give some kind of a brilliant synopsis as to why my blog is called "Frayed edges". But..I am not brilliant and I don't even know what a synopsis is, but I will tell you in my simplistic words that this blog is named such because.......Sherri IS one big frayed edge. Yep, I am rough around the edges, not so perfect, and I am constantly reminded of this. So, So this is me, just simple, plain ole', me. It's probably not that exciting but that's the beauty of it.

Some things to know about me:

I am a very busy business woman AND mom.

I am a sales rep by trade...yes, this is one HUGE reason why I am so frayed

I am a lover not a hater; however I do tend to be cynical at times (it's in my genetic code)

My daughter is the absolute without a doubt #1 reason why I exist. To be her mom. And I love it...every minute

My boyfriend is a wonderful man! He has a heart of gold that is bigger than anyone's I have known! He is going to make a wonderful husband someday :)

I am very driven and usually work very hard to get what I want

This is me, my boyfriend Michael, and my daughter Livy.

I lucked out :)
